Workforce Investment Act
The Workforce Investment Act was passed in 1998 and its intent was to reform the Federal job training programs, creating a comprehensive workforce investment system. The system in Nebraska is composed of various partners, working together to provide training and opportunities to Nebraskans.

The Nebraska Departments of Economic Development and Labor announced findings from the Northeast Nebraska Labor Availability Study. Survey results show an estimated 116,500 potential job seekers in the area.
