  • Funds are allocated by federal to local areas for job-preparation initiatives to help eligible adults with job training and employment opportunities by federal formula.

  • Tier I: Alternative Base Period: Eligibility based upon wages earned during the four most recently completed calendar quarters.
  • Tier II: Adoption of two of the following four eligibility cases: seeking part time work; not disqualified due to compelling family reasons; additional weeks of benefits if individual enters certain training programs; or payment of a dependent allowance of at least $15.00.
  • Nebraska will receive additional federal funds to administer unemployment insurance programs including the additional benefits provided or proposed under ARRA.
